How to Get a Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) in UAE Online
A Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) is your golden ticket to avoiding double taxation. It proves you are a resident of the UAE for tax purposes.
Requirements (For Individuals)
- Passport & Visa: Valid residency for at least 180 days.
- Tenancy Contract: Ejari or Title Deed.
- Bank Statements: 6 months of statements stamped by the bank.
- Source of Income: Salary certificate or trade license.
The Process
- Log in to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) portal.
- Create an account.
- Fill the form and attach PDFs.
- Pay the fee (approx AED 2,000).
Why You Need It
Without a TRC, foreign tax authorities (like the IRS or HMRC) may claim you still owe them taxes on your Dubai income.
